House Plan

A house plan is a detailed drawing that shows the layout, design, and structure of a home. It includes the arrangement of rooms, doors, windows, walls, stairs, and other important spaces such as bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living room, garage, and outdoor areas.

House plans may also include elevations, roof plans, foundation details, electrical layouts, plumbing layouts, and section views. These drawings help homeowners, architects, engineers, and builders understand how the house will be constructed. A good house plan makes sure the home is functional, safe, comfortable, and built according to the owner’s needs and local building requirements.

This project presents a complete residential design package, including a detailed floor plan, deck plan and section, and landscape site plan. Together, the drawings show the relationship between the house layout, outdoor living areas, structural deck construction, and surrounding property development.

House Floor Plan

The floor plan shows the interior arrangement of the residence with clearly labeled spaces, including the garage, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room, closets, dining area, living room, game room, office, entry, and rear porch. The plan communicates room organization, circulation paths, door swings, furniture placement, and functional zoning within the home.

Deck Plan and Structural Section

The deck drawing provides both a plan view and a section view of a proposed residential deck. It includes overall deck dimensions, stair placement, railing posts, joists, beams, ledger connection, support posts, knee braces, and concrete footing details. The section explains how the deck is framed and supported from the building wall to the foundation below.

Garage and Service Areas

The design includes a large garage layout with space for multiple vehicles. Adjacent service areas such as the laundry room, closets, and bathrooms are positioned near the garage and bedroom wing, creating a practical connection between utility spaces and everyday living areas.

Living and Entertainment Spaces

The main living area includes an open arrangement with the kitchen, dining table, living room, and game room. These spaces are designed to support family activity, entertainment, and comfortable circulation between indoor and outdoor areas.

Bedroom and Private Areas

The bedroom wing includes multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, and closet spaces. This portion of the plan separates private rooms from the main entertainment and living zones, helping create a clear residential layout.

Outdoor Access and Porch Connection

The drawings show a connection between the house and outdoor areas, including a porch and proposed deck. These features extend the living space outside and provide access between the interior rooms, yard, and landscape elements.

Landscape Site Plan

The site plan shows the house positioned within a larger property layout. It includes the property boundary, driveway, sidewalk, porch, pool, pond, stepping stones, trees, and open yard areas. The drawing helps communicate how the building fits into the surrounding landscape and how outdoor circulation is organized.

Property Layout and Site Features

The landscape plan identifies the overall property area, driveway access, tree placement, pond location, pool area, and walkway connections. These features support a balanced site design that combines residential use, outdoor recreation, and landscape planning.

Overall Purpose

Overall, this project demonstrates the ability to create a coordinated residential drawing set that connects architectural planning, structural detailing, and landscape design. The package communicates both the interior function of the home and the exterior site development, making it suitable for portfolio presentation, design review, and construction documentation.
